PortAventura Park: The Heart of the Resort
PortAventura Park is the main park of the resort and where it all began in 1995. With an area of 119 hectares, the park is divided into six themed areas representing different world civilizations: Mediterrània, Polynesia, China, Mexico, Far West and SésamoAventura. Each area features its own architecture, vegetation, gastronomy and unique attractions that completely immerse you in their atmosphere.
Most Iconic Attractions
Dragon Khan is PortAventura's original icon. Opened in 1995, this roller coaster was for years the one with the most inversions in the world (8 loops). It reaches 110 km/h and its characteristic roar can be heard throughout the park. Today it remains one of the most popular attractions and a must for adrenaline lovers.
Shambhala, opened in 2012, is currently Europe's tallest roller coaster at 76 meters high. This Bolliger & Mabillard hypercoaster offers a unique freefall and speed experience, reaching 134 km/h. The 1,650-meter ride includes several airtime hills that create a sensation of weightlessness.
Furius Baco is Spain's fastest accelerator, going from 0 to 135 km/h in just 3 seconds. This Intamin roller coaster, located in the Mediterrània area by the lake, offers an intense and vibrant experience with its side-seating that makes you feel completely exposed to speed.
Uncharted: The Enigma of Penitence is PortAventura's latest major addition, opened in 2023. This dark ride combines virtual reality, special effects and an immersive narrative based on the successful Uncharted video game series. It's a multi-generational attraction perfect for the whole family.
Ferrari Land: Pure Italian Emotion
Opened in 2017, Ferrari Land is the second Ferrari-themed park in the world and the only one in Europe. This 75,000 m² park is completely dedicated to Scuderia Ferrari and celebrates the passion, excellence and speed of the most iconic brand in motorsports.
Red Force: Europe's Tallest Vertical Accelerator
The undisputed star of Ferrari Land is Red Force, a roller coaster that accelerates from 0 to 180 km/h in just 5 seconds thanks to its electromagnetic launch system. The attraction reaches a height of 112 meters with a vertical tower offering spectacular views of the Costa Dorada before the drop. The experience simulates the acceleration of a Formula 1 and is one of Europe's most exciting roller coasters.
Caribe Aquatic Park: Refresh in Summer
Caribe Aquatic Park is the resort's water park, open during summer season (typically May to September). With an area of 50,000 m² and pirate Caribbean theme, this park is perfect for cooling off on hot summer days on the Costa Dorada.
Water Attractions for Everyone
King Khajuna is Europe's tallest slide with a 31-meter near-vertical freefall. Barracudas are 6 multi-track slides where you can race with family and friends. El Torrente is a rapid river with currents and rapids that runs through the entire park. Rapid Race are racing slides where you can reach high speeds on a mat.
Special Events at PortAventura World
Throughout the year, PortAventura World celebrates different themed events that transform the park and offer unique experiences to visitors. These events include special decoration, exclusive shows, additional themed areas and, in some cases, temporary attractions.
PortAventura Halloween
From September to November, PortAventura transforms into southern Europe's largest Halloween event. The park stays open until midnight on weekends and offers terror experiences for adults like terror mazes (horror labyrinths with actors), scare zones and themed shows.
