What is Caribe Aquatic Park?
Caribe Aquatic Park is PortAventura World's water park, located within the resort in Salou, Tarragona. With 50,000 square meters of surface area and a theme inspired by the Caribbean of the pirate era, this park offers a refreshing aquatic experience with 16 attractions, extreme slides, wave pools, lazy rivers and children's areas. It's the perfect complement to hot summer days on the Costa Dorada.
Inaugurated in 2002, Caribe Aquatic Park has established itself as one of the best water parks in Spain, combining adrenaline on its most extreme slides with family areas perfect for all ages. The Caribbean setting with palm trees, pirate-style wooden structures, tropical music and themed decoration transports visitors to a Caribbean paradise.

Main Attractions at Caribe Aquatic Park
King Khajuna - Europe's Tallest Slide
The star attraction of Caribe Aquatic Park is King Khajuna, Europe's tallest free-fall slide at 31 meters high. This "body slide" attraction (without a float) makes you descend practically vertically through a closed tube, reaching speeds of up to 6 meters per second before launching you into a braking pool.
Specifications:
- Height: 31 meters (equivalent to a 10-story building)
- Nearly vertical drop with a 75-degree section
- Duration: 5-6 seconds of pure adrenaline
- Restriction: Minimum height 140 cm, maximum weight 136 kg
- Intensity: Extreme - Only for the brave
The King Khajuna experience is unique: after climbing the stairs to the top of the tower, you lie down in the launch capsule. A trap door opens beneath your feet and you drop in a nosedive through the dark tube. The sensation of free fall combined with extreme speed makes your stomach rise to your throat. Not suitable for people with heart problems or fear of heights.
Rapid Race - Speed Competition
Rapid Race is a competitive slide where 6 people can race simultaneously on parallel lanes. Each participant lies on a mat and descends at full speed down a straight track with bumps and waves. Speeds reach 35-40 km/h and you can see your competitors alongside you, creating exciting races.
This attraction is perfect for groups of friends or families who want to see who's the fastest. The starting light system adds to the competition atmosphere. Restriction: Minimum 120 cm.
El Tifón - The Giant Funnel
El Tifón is one of the most spectacular attractions: four people board a giant circular float and are launched into a huge funnel. The float spins and oscillates from side to side as it ascends the funnel walls before descending through the central hole. The sensation of weightlessness combined with spinning is unique.
Mambo Limbo - Family Slides
Mambo Limbo consists of 4 slides of different colors and styles designed for the whole family. Some are open and others closed, with turns, jumps and descents at moderate speed. Perfect for those seeking fun without extreme intensity. Minimum height: 120 cm (110 cm accompanied by adult).
